 HIGHT QUALITY PROGRAMMES BY 2030 SRC By 2030, TVET colleges must be strong, differentiated institutions, offering a range of high-quality programmes preparing students for the world of work and entrepreneurship. Therefore, one of our core responsibilities as leaders is to break down barriers to opportunities by creating pathways for young people to access skills training programmes, access workplace-based training, articulate into higher education, and pursue self-employment without any hindrance.  

The Student Representative Council (SRC) is considered to be a statutory structure as provided for in the Higher Education Act. The SRC offers a variety of services to individual students and different student groupings and in offering these services the SRC exercises political, economic and administrative authority in order to manage the activities of student life. As such, the SRC is the highest decision-making structure of student governance at Wits University.  In line with the definition of governance, the roles and responsibilities of the SRC include: Participating in institutional decision-making structures. Advising and supporting the delivery of effective and efficient student support services. Managing and administering student representation at different levels.  SRC ON A MISSION WITH  Deputy PRINCIPAL: ACADEMIC SERVICES. Deputy Principal: Academic Services Mrs. FB Ngema presenting the DHET 2023 – 2024 Strategic Plan and Annual Performance Plan and explains the significance and impact of this narrative document to delegates. Thereafter delegates were briefed on plenary sessions and divided into break away groups where discussions commenced based on the College’s planned performance over a period of time.
